Beaverslide SashesI received these photos from Kim Egbert in Arkansas. She uses Beaverslide yarn to make sashes on her inkle loom. These creations are worn by historical reenactors and trekkers as part of their gear. They were used by men and women of the 1600's to mid 1800's for various purposes, ranging from hunting utility belts to emergency ropes and slings. Narrow sashes are also used as leg ties. Kim and Joe attend rendezvous where people gather to celebrate a variety of historical pastimes involving hunting and survival. Thanks so much to Kim for sharing this with us.
